National network for immersive technologies #SwissXR

Virtual Switzerland promotes and facilitates the adoption, development and technology transfer of virtual, augmented and mixed realities - eXtended Realities or XR - on a national scale in Switzerland.
It is the expert in the #SwissXR ecosystem.

Launched as a National Thematic Network supported by Innosuisse during the 2017-2020 period, Virtual Switzerland is today a non-profit association that supports companies and academic R&D labs looking to turn their ideas into products or services.

In addition, Virtual Switzerland raises the profile of the Swiss XR community on the local and international scenes, establishing partnerships and helping to launch collaborations across borders.

The association also helps anyone interested in navigating the burgeoning field of immersive technologies and their myriad opportunities - from finding innovative partners to funding development and, ultimately, creating solutions with impact.

Virtual Switzerland is also a founding member of the new umbrella association XR4Europe, whose mission is to strengthen and promote European XR professionals as a united sector. Set up in spring 2021, this pan-European initiative has appointed Virtual Switzerland director Laetitia Bochud as its first president.
