For over 18 years, FOROM - Forum Economique Romand has established itself as the essential meeting place for innovative minds, opinion leaders and entrepreneurs in the French-speaking part of the country, with the aim of fostering connectivity, stimulating dialogue and catalyzing economic growth by offering a dynamic and collaborative ecosystem. FOROM is distinguished by its diversity of exclusive events and strategic business meetings bringing together key players from various sectors, offering unrivalled networking, business and partnership opportunities.

A FOROM Principal

FOROM Principal is the most eagerly awaited event of the year. Held every year in September at the SwissTech Convention Center at EPFL, the event brings together some 500 participants from all over French-speaking Switzerland, to attend conferences and take advantage of networking breaks to develop their business network. Experts in their fields are invited to share their experiences and points of view on a topic of current interest to representatives of SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland. Two weeks before the FOROM Principal, 120 to 150 participants meet at the FOROM Golf & Business Cup for a day of networking between tournament and introductory golf lessons.

The 16th edition of the main FOROM will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the SwissTech Convention Center, under the theme "La relève de 2022, les jeunes au pouvoir". In view of the success of the formula used for the 15th edition (2021), it will be retained with an opening in the early afternoon, followed by a cocktail reception at the end of the day.

FOROM, then and now

It was against a backdrop of economic expansion and to encourage companies in French-speaking Switzerland to meet and get to know each other, that the Forum Economique du Nord Vaudois (FENV) was created in 2005 and launched on September^1, 2006 at La Marive in Yverdon-les-Bains by Cédric Borboën, Chairman, and Achille Crivelli, Vice-Chairman.

Since its foundation, FOROM has achieved a number of important milestones, including its name change in 2015 from Forum Economique du Nord Vaudois to FOROM - Forum Economique Romand, the development of its outreach in French-speaking Switzerland through FOROM ON TOUR, and its move in 2019 from Yverdon-les-Bains to the SwissTech Convention Center in Ecublens on the EPFL campus. The SwissTech Convention Center has quickly established itself as the ideal venue for FOROM's central event, enabling it to welcome a larger number of participants, offer additional visibility to its partners, invite speakers from the international scene, and benefit from cutting-edge technology such as simultaneous translation.

Over the past 16 years, FOROM has positioned its events as the must-attend events for the French-speaking economy.
