Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC)
Fostering data-driven science and innovation to impact society
The Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC) is a strategic area of the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology, with EPFL and ETH Zurich as founding partners, which will become a national research infrastructure in 2025.
Its mission is to support university laboratories, hospitals, industry and public sector players, including cantonal and federal administrations, throughout their data science journey, from data collection to data management, through to machine learning, AI and industrialization.
Spread over 3 sites (Lausanne, Zurich, Villigen), the SDSC provides its expertise and services to various fields, such as health and biomedical sciences, energy and sustainability, climate and the environment, as well as to larger-scale scientific infrastructures.
