Hôtel Warwick - Rue de Lausanne 14 , 1201 Geneva
The event is over

On March 8, 2023, the impactIA foundation launches the "My Mentor is a Woman" program
for enlightened male leaders in the technology and artificial
and artificial intelligence.

This innovative program aims to promote diversity and inclusion in the world of
technology and artificial intelligence, by offering enlightened male leaders the opportunity
to be coached by experienced female mentors.

The mission of the impactIA foundation is to promote the transformation of organizations at
- hybrid intelligences - optimized for the Common Good. To achieve this, it relies on three pillars:
individuals, companies and civil society.

The "My Mentor is a Woman" program is part of the individual pillar and consists of a half-day
of in-person training in "Inclusive Leadership", given by Isabelle Collet, professor at
the University of Geneva and author of, among other books, "Les oubliées du numérique". This
training session will enable participants to become aware of the issues and gender-related biases
in the digital sector, as well as the levers for fostering a more egalitarian and
respectful culture.

The training is followed by 5 mentoring sessions with a mentor spread over 6 to 15 months. The
women mentors all have extensive management experience and have completed
our training program for enlightened male leaders. They
will provide the male mentees with a fresh perspective, personalized support and an enriching sharing of experience
, as well as food for thought and avenues for action.

Why this program?

Human diversity is a central issue for the development of artificial intelligence. In
fact, digital technologies such as data clustering and artificial intelligence
are used to analyze and monitor problems, but they can also
reproduce or amplify existing discrimination if they are not designed with an inclusive
approach. Yet the digital sector still suffers from a glaring lack of diversity,
particularly in terms of gender. According to a 2018 study by Social Builder, only 33%
of people working in tech are women. This imbalance poses not only
a societal equity problem, but also an economic and strategic risk for
companies.

Indeed, it has now been proven that diversity and inclusion are key success factors
in the tech industry. According to the International Labour Organization, companies with
equal opportunity and gender diversity policies are almost 60% more likely to see their
profits and productivity increase. They also enjoy a better reputation,
find it easier to attract and retain talent, and generate more creativity and innovation.
