Calling all innovative start-ups or young professionals wishing to join the Venture Capital environment. UPComingVC will equip you to meet and emerge with VCs in a powerful and immediate way.
VCs are also called upon to develop their dealflow efficiently, to identify competent, young profiles who are connected to the various ecosystems targeted by their funds.
It's a life-size test that takes place over 2 days, for student/young professional challengers selected in advance and wishing to become VCs. UPComingVC challenges them to play the role of venturecapitalists, investing fictitious money in startups that are real and selected in advance.
In front of a jury of VCs (Polytech Ecosystem, eCAP Partner, Earlybird, SeedStars, UVC, Global Founders Capital), each team of challengers unveils its investment recommendations (or not) and any termsheets for each startup analyzed, based on the valuation estimated during the round of meetings, and its opinions on business models / KPIs / strategies / risks.
The exercise simulates the traditional Venture Capital due diligence process to help aspiring VCs immerse themselves in the world of venture capital while connecting startups with the investors who will be present.
Throughout the event, the VC jury coaches startups and challengers, giving them insights and tips on how to present, articulate and analyze data, and organize their thinking, whether you're an entrepreneur or an aspiring VC.
