Groundbreaking ceremony for ComatReleco in Guin
ComatReleco has officially broken ground on its new factory in Guin. The company, based in Worb (BE), is a supplier of high-quality electrical relays and contactors, particularly for industrial automation, building technology and the transport sector. The move is scheduled for spring 2022.
ComatRelaco's new plant will be located in the Birch industrial zone, close to the Guin soccer stadium. Currently, the company employs 33 people in Worb, but its total workforce exceeds 100, including its Chinese subsidiary and sales offices in Germany and Brazil.
The company looked for a new site, as its Worb premises were located in an area no longer suited to its activities. The company began by prospecting in the Berne region, before broadening the scope of its search and setting its sights on Guin, where it acquired a 4,000 m2 plot of land.
