Winners and trends of the 3rd Swiss Digital HR Awards

by Sandrine Barrucand

Created by HR innovation enthusiasts, the Prix RH Numérique Suisse challenges HR professionals to seize the opportunities offered by the digital transition, by encouraging them to innovate, create and renew their practices. The Prix RH Numérique is more than just a prize: it's a multi-stage adventure. Candidates are coached and supported for several months before presenting their project at an awards ceremony. Alp ICT has supported the Prize since its launch, and it was with great pleasure and interest that we attended the ceremony for this 3rd edition, which took place on November 1, 2022 at the Vaudoise Aréna.

"HR is often seen as the poor relation of digitalization," laments Jessica Silberman Dunant, President of HR Swiss, the 50-year-old national HR association with over 4,000 members. " Yet digital transformation was a regular topic at HR in 2022 events and conferences. Jessica is very enthusiastic about the future of the HR sector. Contrary to what some people fear, she believes that digital tools will not cause us to lose our humanity or our place in the workplace; on the contrary, the aids provided by digitalization enable us to enhance our human added value.

The innovation projects presented by the 9 finalists in the Prix RH Numérique are proof of this: employee experience, planning for managers, leadership development, improving digital skills, campaigns to attract and retain talent... All these projects place people at the heart of the transformation.

"This 2022 edition has seen the prize evolve in the wake of new societal and environmental challenges and new topics linked to quality of working life and corporate social responsibility issues," says Digital HR Prize President Laetitia Kulak.

The selection process was no easy task for the jury, made up of professionals from the Swiss HR ecosystem and the world of innovation. They had a list of 8 precise criteria, such as the link with the company's strategic and operational challenges, the impact, the innovative nature and the digital dimension of the project, to choose between the candidates. Alp ICT congratulates the 3 2022 winners:

  • The City of Lausanne's Water Department in the "SME -400 employees" category, which helps its teams to develop their leadership skills and raise the department's profile using digital tools;
  • McDonald's Switzerland in the "Companies +400 employees" category, which digitized and automated its entire manager planning system;
  • Azqore SA won the People's Choice Award for its digital employee appraisal project.

For the first time, the 3 winners will be invited to the HR Technologies France trade show in February 2023, where they will meet numerous international experts.

Olivier Sandoz, deputy general manager of the Fédération des Entreprises Romandes (FER Genève), congratulates the Swiss Prix RH Numérique "for stimulating, encouraging and accompanying the changes underway, and for helping a network of digital HR pioneers to emerge".

One of Alp ICT's highlights was the project developed by the CSS Group , which enables employees to map their digital skills. The platform then enables them to improve their skills autonomously via modules. Still on the subject of team support and training, Bisa introduced " reverse mentoring", a new method for a smooth digital transition. As for Adequasys, it can predict talent departures thanks to an evolutionary engine based on AI algorithms, and offer targeted proposals for action before it's too late.

A prize with a bright future. For its 2023 edition, the organizing team welcomes a new member, and applications are now open to the German-speaking part of Switzerland. You can submit your application to: contact@prixrhnumeriquesuisse.com.
