#interview QMTSixSigma, a revolutionary technology for machine control

Alp ICT: QUALIMATEST marks a major step forward in production machine control by offering intelligent control via a simple, high-performance approach: QMTSixSigma. Can you tell us a little more about it?
Ivan Meissner: Our vision is to understand our customers' needs and offer them the optimum solution. This is why we have integrated a new technology into our QMTProjector control devices, which addresses a daily problem faced by manufacturers: the time-consuming and costly process of measuring parts and setting up machines.
PILLET CONSULTING has developed a statistical model that significantly increases production yields and part quality. QUALIMATEST integrates this technology into its measuring equipment, providing the operator with the machine's set-up parameters as soon as the first measurement is taken. Gone are the long hours spent setting up a machine; a single setting is now enough to optimally adjust all the correctors on a machine, however complex. These parameters can even be sent directly to the machine, if it is connected to the measuring device.
The technology also makes it possible to standardize setter practices and reduce the number of errors. QMTSixSigma functions and services thus represent a major productivity gain for manufacturers. Alp ICT: Why did you agree to take part in our Industry Connect? What are your expectations?
Ivan Meissner: We're very much in line with Industry 4.0, constantly working to help our customers progress. And in this particular case, with our product, we think we're bringing a technology that has the capacity to really help the manufacturers who will be present at the event. What's more, our proposition is twofold: we offer both technology for measuring parts and technology for setting up machines.
