Grands Prix de l'économie genevois: applications open until April 26, 2021
Created in 2012, the Prix de l'économie genevoise and the Prix de l'innovation aim to promote and enhance Geneva's economic fabric. They also aim to honor companies whose reputation and influence convey a positive and dynamic image of Geneva.
In 2021, a third prize will be awarded: the Equality Prize. Its aim is to highlight the need to achieve equality in the workplace, by rewarding a company that makes special efforts in this area; its criteria are non-cumulative. In addition, the winning company must agree to make two to three hours of its time available to other companies to share its best practices in this area.
These awards are traditionally presented each autumn by the CCIG, the State of Geneva and the Office pour la promotion des industries et des technologies.
The second new feature for 2021 is that applications are now open!
Indeed, any Geneva-based company is eligible for one of the three prizes. There are two ways of doing this:
Applications must be submitted until Monday April 26, 2021 at 6:00 pm.
Criteria
Awarded by a jury of 13 leading figures from the worlds of academia and business, they are based on a series of economic and social criteria. For the Prix de l'économie genevoise et de l'innovation, the company's social policy, respect for the environment in its business model and professional training (number of apprentices or trainees) are taken into consideration.
The Prix de l'économie genevoise also takes into account the technological, scientific and commercial interest of the company's product, product range or services, as well as the number of jobs created in the three years preceding the award.
For the Innovation Award, the innovative nature of the product or product range, the technology used, the industrial or commercial strategy and the potential of the market in which the company is active are reviewed by the jury.
Criteria for the Equality Award include the integration of this concept into the company's documents or guiding principles, a balanced distribution of the sexes at all levels of the company, or the concrete measures taken to achieve this, as well as the company's human resources policy.
