Sustainable IT Day 2026
On May 4, 2026, the Casino de Montbenon in Lausanne will host the 3rd edition of Sustainable IT Day, a French-speaking Swiss event dedicated to the impact of digital technology and artificial intelligence on organizations. Organized by ISIT-CH and IT4Future, the event aims to position responsible digital technology not as a constraint, but as a genuine economic, strategic, and transformative driver for businesses. The day will feature keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, demonstrations, and networking opportunities focused on the major challenges related to AI, cybersecurity, digital sovereignty, and Green IT.
AI, sustainability, sovereignty , and responsible digital strategy are on the agenda
Sustainable IT Day 2026 is positioned as a key event designed to help organizations understand how to integrate AI and digital technologies into a sustainability strategy, without losing sight of issues such as compliance, cost control, trust, strategic autonomy, and resource efficiency. The program combines in-depth insights with practical tools, notably through roundtable discussions and hands-on workshops.
Among the topics to be explored in depth are, among others:
- The Impact of AI: From Apertus to Euria via Mistral—Are Sovereign Models Better? With Amael Parreaux-Ey, Resilio
- The Responsible Digital Roadmap: The Starter Pack! with Eleonore Geny, SPIE
- AI Governance: A Common Framework for Promoting Responsible Innovation with David Jeanmonod & Nicolas Lanthemann, LIIP
Also worth noting is a roundtable discussion organized by ISIT-CH, which will provide an opportunity to explore and discuss the findings of the very first Responsible AI Barometer in French-speaking Switzerland.
For SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland, this event will provide a better understanding of how to reduce the environmental footprint of their IT systems, manage the use of AI, develop a responsible digital strategy, and anticipate growing demands for sustainability and governance. By combining expert insights, real-world experience, and practical tools, Sustainable IT Day offers a valuable framework for turning these complex challenges into actionable decisions.
