Digital Innovation at the Heart of Healthcare Transformation

Artificial intelligence, the use of health data, new research approaches, and digital technologies: the transformation of the medical sector is opening up new opportunities, both for understanding public health challenges and for developing innovative solutions. This edition of the BioAlps Networking Day will therefore place digital innovation at the center of the discussion, exploring how technological advances can help drive change in the sector’s practices and models.

Of note among the first announced speakers is Prof. Marcel Salathé, a professor at EPFL and co-director of the AI Center, who will shed light on the interactions between artificial intelligence and public health. A pioneer in digital epidemiology, his work explores, in particular, how data from the Internet and AI technologies can help anticipate and understand public health issues at the population level.

For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in French-speaking Switzerland—particularly those active in HealthTech, MedTech, the life sciences, artificial intelligence, or data technologies—this event offers an opportunity to better understand the intersections between digital innovation and healthcare. Beyond technological prospects, the BioAlps Networking Day also serves as a forum for dialogue between research, industry, and entrepreneurship, fostering the identification of new use cases, collaborations, and development opportunities within the Swiss life sciences ecosystem.
