The event is over

Every year, Smart City Day brings together over 400 decision-makers from local and cantonal authorities, business and academia. Its success since its creation in 2014 has made it the benchmark event in French-speaking Switzerland.

A cross-disciplinary platform for exchange, Smart City Day brings together all Smart City players. The aim is to support and build the towns and cities of the future together, .

Concrete answers to your questions: The post-pandemic city

The 8th edition of Smart City Day will focus on a number of lessons we are learning from the pandemic situation, including the need for a "Global - Local" balance. What will the post-pandemic city and society look like? What new habits will remain ingrained in society? What impact will this have on the economy, mobility, energy, education and administration? How can we manage risks to avoid or better manage crises? And, of course, questions of sustainability and economic, social and environmental resilience are not forgotten.

If you would like to take advantage of the event to present your Smart City projects, solutions and ambitions, please contact the team: smartcityday@innobridge.com

Program

Conferences, round tables, stands, demonstrations and events, all in a convivial atmosphere conducive to networking, sharing and innovation.

As Biel is a bilingual city, there will be simultaneous French-German translation, opening up the event to both French- and German-speaking Switzerland.

This year's themes address the challenges facing post-pandemic cities. Smart City Day 2021 will be an opportunity to debate these issues and work together, across disciplines and public and private organizations:

  1. Energy efficiency : How can we encourage citizens and organizations to change their habits and invest to achieve the city's sustainability goals?
  2. The Internet of Places: How can we link the digital to the physical to find out more about the places we live and take part in the life of our neighborhoods and villages?
  3. Public-private partnerships: What new co-creation and co-financing models are needed to align the objectives and priorities of the various players?
  4. Tomorrow's mobility: what data is relevant and how can it be used to improve the experience of people on the move and local residents?
