Support for digital creation: call for projects (Geneva)

The Canton and the City of Geneva are setting up a new joint support scheme for digital creation. For 2024, a total of CHF 500,000 has been earmarked to encourage artistic emergence, support experimentation with new forms and strengthen the financial capacities needed to carry out and deploy ambitious projects. These grants give concrete expression to the commitments of the Canton and the City of Geneva in terms of co-financing creation, within the framework of the new law for the promotion of culture and artistic creation (LPCCA) which came into force on January 1, 2024.

Artistic & digital creation: call for projects

Support granted under this scheme is intended to encourage the following stages of a digital creation project:

  • writing, research, development (artistic and/or technical);
  • pilot or prototype production;
  • realization or production

Eligible for support are original projects involving immersive and/or interactive and/or generative digital creation, which can take various forms, such as (non-exhaustive list):

  • interactive applications and installations;
  • projects in the field of augmented, mixed or virtual reality (XR);
  • immersive video;
  • architectural mapping;
  • interactive design
  • media design

Hybrid formats such as immersive shows (theater, music and dance) and video games are eligible, provided that they include a significant artistic dimension.

The maximum amounts are CHF 20,000 for writing, research or development projects, and CHF 100,000 for pilots, prototypes, realizations or productions.
