2024 retrospective: a sustainable, inclusive & competitive Swiss digital economy

by Alp ICT

Dear digital players,

As we close a year rich in challenges and opportunities, it's clear that the digital sector in French-speaking Switzerland continues to play a driving role in the transformation of our economy, despite a shifting and uncertain global context.

Driven by passionate men and women, this ecosystem is rising to today's challenges, while laying the foundations for future innovations. The digital transition is no longer just a necessity for businesses, but also an opportunity to build sustainable, inclusive and competitive solutions on a local and international scale.

GreenTech, HealthTech, Industrie 4.0... local & innovative synergies.

In 2024, Alp ICT continued its role as a catalyst, highlighting the talents and innovations of our region. Through more than 35 interviews and demonstrations of Swiss digital solutions, we gave the floor to inspiring players who are shaping the digital French-speaking part of Switzerland. We also supported and relayed more than 160 regional events on key themes such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and responsible digital business. Finally, we continue to encourage SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland to innovate by promoting over 45 calls for projects, offering them concrete support to develop their ideas and solutions.

2024 has also seen the emergence of fruitful cross-disciplinary collaborations between companies, start-ups and research centers, strengthening local synergies in fields such as "GreenTech", "HealthTech" and, more globally, Industry 4.0. These partnerships illustrate the ability of French-speaking Switzerland to combine innovation, know-how and a shared vision to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

These results testify to the vitality and diversity of the digital ecosystem in French-speaking Switzerland. The role of talent and entrepreneurship remains a fundamental pillar of this dynamic, underpinned by a culture of innovation and collaboration.

In 2025, Alp ICT will pursue its missions by exploring new perspectives, in particular by studying, after a discovery phase, the adoption of generative artificial intelligence by SMEs. In the key area of social responsibility, we plan to analyze the adoption of sustainable technologies and ethical digital ecosystems.

Together, let's continue to build an ambitious, prosperous digital future.

Thank you all for your commitment. We wish you all the best for the New Year!
