We're giving away tickets for Smart City Day 2018

by Alp ICT

5th edition of "Smart cities, how smart?" Thursday, September 13 at Forum Fribourg

A regional flagship event rotating from city to city in Western Switzerland since 2014, Smart City Day aims to catalyze Smart Cities developments in French-speaking Switzerland, in the service of French-speaking Switzerland.

With two months to go before the event, we're delighted to announce that the program is online, registration is open, and the welcome video teaser is available.

  • A morning of lectures, with Benoit Revaz, Director of the Swiss Federal Office of Energy - SFOE
  • An afternoon of workshops and innovation, with Alain Jaccard, President of the Organisation Infrastructures Communales and jury member for the O.I.C. prize.
  • Spaces and times arranged around an exhibitor village, with more than 20 stands - public/private/academic sectors/innovation cluster

We are therefore delighted to announce the success of the 2nd Smart City Hack last April, thanks to all those involved, who can be seen in the video of the SCH#2 augmented hackathon. Well done to all the participants, and in particular to the winning project Trasharing, which will be presented to you during the SCD innovation pitches.

Development of the innovation cluster with partner platforms

The development of Smart Cities is accompanied by technological innovations, linked to companies of all sizes, public services and startups. Various clusters have always been present at Smart City Days to represent these trends. This year, Innobridge would like to strengthen the Innovation area to promote this dynamic, in collaboration with the three partner platforms: CleantechAlps, Alp ICT, Micronarc.

The Forum Fribourg will therefore feature a dedicated area for the presentation of start-ups and inspiring projects in the service of the city . Alp ICT is delighted to be taking part in this initiative, which our Strategic Marketing Officer Yohann Perron will be moderating. Join us to discover the 8 selected startups, and come and see us at our stand!

Apply for your place before August 31

As a co-organizing partner of Smart City Day, Alp ICT offers free admission to its community. The ticket includes the whole day: conferences and workshops, coffee and refreshments, lunch and a friendly drink at the end of the day. If you are interested, please send an e-mail to sandrine.barrucand@alpict.com.

We look forward to seeing many of you there to share your thoughts and Smart Cities strategies, and work together to build the towns and cities of tomorrow.
