The Microtechnology industry goes on Roadshow to meet its customers
After the Covid-19 wave, imagination is needed to find new solutions to meet customers on a daily basis. The microtechnology industry is starting up again, and is organizing a brand-new concept: a truck that travels the length and breadth of Switzerland to meet its customers. CHIRON, Factory5, Big Kaiser, ESPI, Louis Bélet, Laser Cheval, Meyrat, Motorex, TG Colin and Watch-Web have joined forces to organize an innovative travelling engineering event to share their latest technological innovations. This event takes place from August 30 to September 10, 2021, passing through the cities of Zurich, Biel, Geneva and La Chaux-de-Fonds.
The "micro on tour" is an opportunity for the 10 partner companies to present their innovative solutions and services covering all aspects of the precision manufacturing process chain. It's a chance for visitors to see the machines that are normally on their own production sites, and therefore hidden from the public, and to learn about the latest technologies in the field of mechanical and industrial engineering.
Each exhibitor will be on hand to give demonstrations and answer questions about their products and companies. The event is aimed primarily at the watchmaking, jewelry, medical and microtechnology industries, and will feature demonstrations of 3 smartmachines, including exclusive new products. These machines are the result of an intelligent revolution whose exceptional technical performance is made possible by miniaturization. This innovation paves the way for a revolution in the production of microtechnical components.
Industry 4.0 is defined by smartmachines. This event will therefore also be an opportunity to introduce them to the general public. They add value throughout the manufacturing process by facilitating production and accelerating manufacturing processes; all made possible by connected, modular and energy-efficient machines. What's more, these smartmachines are compact and therefore very different from conventional production machines, which not only take up an enormous amount of space on production floors, but also consume around 50 times more energy than a smartmachine.
