New series of "AI Perspectives" public symposia

The Idiap research institute in Martigny is launching a new series of public symposia entitled "Perspectives on AI". The main objective is to bring together researchers, companies, policymakers and users of AI technologies around a chosen theme. By discussing the given topic from different perspectives, we encourage the development of academic, industrial and clinical collaborations in the field of AI on a Swiss scale.

Together, we can harness the power of AI to tackle major societal and industrial challenges!

First event on "Data Science in Oncology" on January 25 in Martigny

This inaugural symposium will explore the many ways in which data science and artificial intelligence support oncology research and development. It will also address current limitations and challenges of AI, such as data sharing and confidentiality, or the interpretability of algorithms, as well as what can be done to accelerate research.

A number of renowned speakers will be taking part, including Dr María Rodríguez Martínez, Technical Leader of Computational Systems Biology at IBM Zurich, and Prof. Olivier Michielin, Chief Medical Officer at the Precision Oncology Center. There will also be plenty of networking opportunities. We expect 100 people to attend (target audience: a mix of industrial, academic and clinical researchers, mainly from the Lake Geneva region).
