IoT x Sustainability: solution or problem?

July 6, 2023 - July 6, 2023
Best Western Plus Hotel Mirabeau, Avenue de la Gare 31, 1003 Lausanne
The event is over

The Internet of Things (IoT or connected objects) offers unrivalled opportunities to facilitate, automate and control a large number of tasks, most often recurring and laborious, in our daily lives.

Sustainability & connected objects: a losing bet or a convergence of interests?

As our natural resources become increasingly scarce and environmental concerns grow, these monitoring, detection and control solutions become all the more essential for preserving these resources and energy. However, are the production, networking, use and obsolescence of these objects really in line with the challenges of more sustainable and responsible development?

Is the massive deployment of tens of billions of connected sensors, which presents both economic and environmental challenges, part of the solution or part of the problem?

These are just some of the questions that will be addressed by a number of experts at the upcoming CSEM event.
