Digital Series: Fournier bois x Tokiwi / Silicom
On Tuesday June 17, at IdeArk in Martigny, discover a new case study in digitalization as part of the Digital Series organized by the Swiss Digital Center, in collaboration with The Ark Foundation and the Valais Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The session will illustrate, through the experience of Fournier Bois, a hybrid approach that saw the creation of an online sales platform, interfaced with a new ERP.
Digitizing B2B & B2C sales: an inspiring example of digital transformation
This session will focus on Fournier Bois, a Valais-based company specializing in sawmills and timber resale. Faced with changing customer expectations and increasingly complex processes, Fournier Bois undertook a complete overhaul of its information system. Initially envisaged as a 100% customized solution, the company opted for a hybrid approach, integrating a standard ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with the help of Silicom, while developing a customized web platform with the Tokiwi agency. This new platform enables partners to access a personalized digital space, private customers to place orders online 24/7, and Fournier Bois to add value to its wood offcuts via an online store.
