Groupe Mutuel Insurance − Sion
On Tuesday, November 10, 2026, AI Swiss & Groupe Mutuel are hosting an evening event in Sion dedicated to the practical integration of artificial intelligence into professional practices. Titled “On the Road to Sion: From a Team Discussion to AI Tailored for the Team, with BASE,” this event marks the second stop on a traveling roadshow aimed at promoting the responsible, controlled, and human-centered adoption of AI through the BASE methodology, created by AI Swiss.
How can we design artificial intelligence that adapts to a team’s methods, priorities, and constraints, rather than imposing new ways of working? Through a hands-on demonstration, Charles-Edouard Bardyn, Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of AI Swiss, will present BASE (Building Assistants with a Structure of Expertise), an open and free standard developed in partnership with Innovaud. Using the transcript of an interview conducted at a company, he will demonstrate how AI can identify a team’s needs, propose a framework for use subject to the team’s approval, and then structure its operations according to the defined rules. The demonstration will focus in particular on the formalization of domain knowledge, the verification of results, human oversight, and independence from AI tools.
The evening will begin with an introduction by Gilles Burnier, Strategic Innovation Expert at Groupe Mutuel, and will continue with a question-and-answer session on the benefits, limitations, and responsibilities associated with the use of these technologies.
For SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland, this event offers an opportunity to explore an approach to AI that starts with business needs and existing practices, rather than the features of a specific tool. The main benefit lies in the ability to formalize an organization’s unique methods and knowledge in the form of files that can be read, modified, and reused by various AI systems. It’s a practical way to address the challenges of process control, governance, technological dependence, and digital autonomy, while keeping people at the center of decision-making.
