Epson sets up in the canton of Fribourg thanks to collaboration with the iPrint Institute

by Alp ICT

iPrint is an internationally renowned institute and competence center for everything to do with 3D printing. Seeking to strengthen its printhead sales business in Europe, Epson Europe B.V. has opened a sales office at the Marly Innovation Center (MIC), within the inkjet ecosystem that iPrint is developing. The site has a long tradition of printing technology, dating back to the making of paper in the Middle Ages.

Through this inkjet ecosystem, iPrint's vision is to offer any interested company the opportunity to receive the necessary support for its inkjet and digital printing developments. On the one hand, innovative technologies will be developed with equipment suppliers. On the other hand, new inkjet applications will be developed thanks to the wide range of equipment and materials that members of the inkjet ecosystem can offer and create. iPrint connects people and knowledge to create innovations that contribute to valuable products for the inkjet ecosystem and to the well-being of society in a sustainable way.

They can count on a highly multidisciplinary, talented and international team, well-equipped laboratories with numerous research printers and measuring devices, solid national and international industrial and university networks, and excellent engineers, all of whom are constantly trained in iPrint. Informal exchanges within the ecosystem foster innovation and co-creation.
