Thematic dossier: The circular economy: an economic and environmental opportunity for Switzerland?

A multitude of good circular economy practices exist and are being developed throughout Switzerland. The challenge lies in sharing and communicating these best practices, as well as in the necessary evolution of framework conditions to meet current and future challenges in the consumption of natural resources.

This thematic dossier, produced by CleantechAlps in partnership with Sofies, Rytec, Satom and One Creation, presents the issues, challenges, best practices and concrete, inspiring business models in terms of the circular economy.

Following a first section that provides an overview of the circular economy concept, its strengths and limitations, a second chapter presents the current political and economic context in Switzerland. The central part of this dossier focuses on seven sectors of the Swiss economy: agrifood, construction, consumer goods, machinery, luxury goods and watchmaking, finance and tourism.

A webinar will be held on May 6 to present the main findings of this thematic dossier.
