Acceleration program for SMEs, startups and new projects in industry 4.0

i4Challenge is an accelerator program focused on innovative solutions, new approaches and next-generation products or services for industrial transformation 4.0. It covers the following themes:

  • Customer-oriented innovations
  • Digital transformation - Equipment, processes and business
  • Digital factory, factory of the future
  • Robotics; IoT; AI; VR; AR
  • Information and communication technologies (ICT)
  • 3D printing

 

i4Challenge is divided into 3 categories:

  • SMEs with solutions, products or services for industry 4.0, digitalization. Application deadline: 17.07. 2020
  • Startups with solutions, products or services for industry 4.0, digitalization. Application deadline: 17.07. 2020
  • New ideas: open to all, especially students, intrapreneurs, entrepreneurs and technical teams. Application deadline: 02.11. 2020

The i4Challenge offers a platform to help innovators promote their Industry 4.0 products or services. In addition, participants benefit from access to potential partners, mentors, collaborators and customers, and have access to a mentoring program through Basel Area Business & Innovation. Basel Area offers a supportive ecosystem to tackle the manufacturing industry's transition to customer-centric smart technologies and sustainable production methods.

Projects accepted in the "New Ideas" category benefit from a number of advantages to help build and develop the idea for market launch:

  • Access to a coworking space for six months at the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area in the canton of Jura
  • Accelerator program and customized mentoring by industry experts
  • Access to the Basel Area Business & Innovation network
  • Privileged access to the network and activities of Interreg Upper Rhine 4.0 project partners
  • Possible financing for further development of the idea
