Covid certificate: a Valais innovation facilitates the work of establishments
Valais-based Des Choses Pareilles has just completed the development of a device that automatically verifies the Covid certificate and the identity of visitors to a public establishment. This Valais innovation will enable restaurateurs and other leisure establishments to concentrate on their real work, and thus gain in efficiency.
After innovating last winter with the development of Skears(see article November 23, 2020), the ski mask attachment, Ardon-based start-up Des Choses Pareilles is back in the news with this automatic Covid certificate and ID card reader. "We're always looking for solutions to make people's lives easier," says Alain Woeffray, the company's managing director.
Small column to be placed at the entrance to establishments
This innovation, which has just been finalized after weeks of intensive work, should save restaurateurs and other leisure venue managers from having to specifically hire staff to carry out checks. In practical terms, the device takes the form of a small column to be placed at the entrance to establishments. It reads the required documents. Once these have been validated, the device issues a control ticket for presentation at the establishment visited.
"The printed ticket contains the date, time and information specific to the establishment, such as a logo or pictogram. The latter changes every day, which makes it more difficult to falsify," explains Alain Woeffray.
A first demonstration video of this device is available on Des Choses Pareilles' LinkedIn account. We're sure this innovation will make life easier for many people, in Valais and elsewhere.
