Red lab hackathon results: 14 useful, practical ideas
How would you sum up this first 100% digital event? The sharing of ideas and skills led to the conception of 14 useful and practical ideas, but also to a collective commitment to "a CO2-free creative bubble" to prepare for the future. You can watch the pitches of the 14 ideas on the Red lab YouTube channel.
3 days of open innovation
Over the course of 3 days, no fewer than 60 participants were involved in reinventing the energy system through the use of data. 5 facilitators were on hand throughout the process, along with 10 speakers on the subject of data. For over 90% of respondents, Red lab helped to analyze and formalize the challenges/opportunities, and to foster collaboration between stakeholders.
An effective methodology
With an emphasis on design thinking, the proposed methodology enables all participants (technical experts or not) to quickly and efficiently collaborate on the thinking and development of an idea. It's fascinating to see what a team can produce in just three days. For some participants, this experience will influence their collaborative approach in the professional environment.
Red lab is also about encounters, rich in exchange and the bonds forged between teammates, enabling them to rethink a problem again and again until a solution emerges. Or, as one participant put it: "Innovation is not a result, but a continuous process".
What's next?
The next stage has begun! Eight of the ideas developed have attracted the interest of the partners. They will be discussed further with the interested parties and may be submitted to the NTN Innovation Booster Living Labs for Decarbonisation innovation committee. Finally, the product of this edition will materialize in a report presenting a vision on the theme of data and energy. Its publication is scheduled for September 2021.
