ARCM launches its first "COMAC 4.0" community innovation project

by Alp ICT

An incubator for collaborative projects in microtechnology production

ARCM (Association de Recherche Communautaire des moyens de production Microtechniques) aims to bring together manufacturers, subcontractors and users of microtechnology production resources in the Jura region around community development projects.

Why should we do this? By pooling development projects that don't call into question the know-how and specific features of SMEs, they can gainaccess to innovations while reducing risk and investment. ARCM is convinced that, to remain competitive in an ultra-competitive market, regional collaboration based on know-how that is unique in the world, and the pooling of certain developments, can be an effective response.
By offering a neutral and simple platform, ARCM facilitates access for industrial SMEs to a network dedicated to project development and the organization of high value-added events.

How does it work? ARCM identifies development needs, maps skills in all the institutions of the Jura Arc, and puts partners with similar needs in touch with each other, taking advantage of the proximity of a densely populated industrial area. Once the themes have been defined, ARCM proposes and manages technology transfer projects based on the industrial needs identified.

Two themes are currently attracting particular interest in the industry

Industrial ecology: ARCM offers improvement projects in energy efficiency, product lifecycle analysis and the miniaturization of production resources.

Industry 4.0 ARCM is committed to the digitization of processes, the connectivity of machines and the use of data, all of which are essential if we are to remain competitive and attractive.

Benefit now from collaborative savings and efficient synergies

ARCM has just launched its first community project, "COMAC 4.0", with the aim of "Interconnecting machines and analyzing the data collected to visualize and improve the efficiency of production processes in an Industry 4.0 context". The registration deadline is September 8. Further details of the project can be found at: https://arcm.ch/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/COMAC-4.0-v2.5.pdf

You can also submit your own project directly online on the association's website.
