Call for projects: GovTech Innovation Exchange

The GovTech Innovation Exchange enables the Swiss federal administration to seek innovative solutions to the current challenges of digital transformation, and offers start-ups the opportunity to engage in dialogue with federal administration departments through its innovation exchange. This dialogue gives participating offices an overview of the highly innovative solutions available on the market. Ideas developed within the framework of the Innovation Exchange can then lead to concrete implementation orders.

8 federal government offices* submitted a total of 12 challenges:

• Federal Office for Spatial Development: development of an AI-based chatbot for navigating the Agenda 2030 toolbox
• Federal Office for Spatial Development: compulsory online sustainability training for all new employees
• Federal Office of Public Health: online data retrieval as part of the enforcement of the integrity and transparency provisions of the legislation on therapeutic products
• Federal Office of Communications: OFCOM website digital assistant
• Federal Chancellery: intelligent assistant for Federal Council business
• Federal Chancellery: automated extraction and categorization of relevant text sections in consultation processes
• Federal Chancellery: UX Design for clear consolidation of position statements for office consultations
• Federal Chancellery: visualizing a dashboard for political affairs
• Federal Chancellery: Monitoring of ongoing signature collections for federal popular initiatives
• Federal Chancellery: improving the security of the signature collection process
• General Secretariat of the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications: Proof of Concept for a website to publish climate data from the Federal Administration
• Federal Office for Food Safety and Veterinary Affairs: Graph-based data management in food legislation

Companies interested in one or more of the above challenges can apply online. Registered companies will then receive a form to submit their proposal(s) for these challenges. After checking all the proposals submitted, the Federal Chancellery and the federal government offices responsible for the challenges will select, by May 16, the best proposals to take part in the "GovTech Innovation Exchange" event on June 20, 2025.
