Industry Connect: AI for healthcare
On November 11, 2021, alp ict organized the 3rd and final session of its Industry Connect series on artificial intelligence applied to SMEs. In collaboration with CimArk andIDIAP, we addressed the opportunities and challenges of AI in the healthcare sector, through shared experiences and a multidisciplinary roundtable discussion. Fascinating exchanges with high-level speakers whom we thank warmly:
Christophe Martin, Quality Director for Merck Serono Laboratories, presented an AI application developed in partnership with IDIAP, enabling simplified quality decision-making in industrial pharmaceutical production.
Tony Germini, CEO of CALYPS, used a case study of emergency care to show how data can be used to anticipate and optimize hospital flows.
Pierre-Mikael Legris, CEO of Pryv, and Jean-Paul Calbimonte, Senior Researcher at HES-SO Valais, use AI to make sense of healthcare data and facilitate exchanges between players in the field.
In the second half of the event, we had the privilege of gathering 7 panelists around a multidisciplinary round table to address the various human, technological and regulatory issues involved.
In addition to our three speakers, we welcomed: Henning Müller, Professor & Head of the eHealth Unit at HES-SO Valais, Cédric Philippon, Process Industrialization Project Manager at Debiopharm Research & Manufacturing, Gabriel Avigdor, Co-founder & Partner of datalex, André Anjos, Research Scientist at IDIAP.
