Data at the heart of Industry Connect in Delémont

When you use a GPS, navigate on your smartphone or simply look at tomorrow's weather, you're creating a wealth of data. It has become ubiquitous in our daily lives and is worth its weight in gold. Their use was at the heart of discussions between entrepreneurs on November 28, 2019 at Victorinox Swiss Army SA, on the occasion of the 3rd Industry Connect meeting on production data.

This event is part of a series of three "Industry Connect" events in the Jura Arc region, dedicated to the use of data in production environments. They are organized by Alp ICT in partnership with the Economic Services of the cantons of Neuchâtel, Jura and Bern, as well as Micronarc, FSRM, HE-Arc, CNCI, CSEM, platinn, Creapole, be-advanced and BaselArea.swiss.

After looking at the current use of data, and then at the medium-term opportunities, we moved on to the long-term impact: how the use of data can radically change the business model, with the CEO of ELITE sharing his experience.

After the traditional networking cocktail, we also had the privilege of visiting the cutlery and watchmaking departments of VICTORINOX. Many thanks to them for their warm welcome, and to the forty or so industrial participants. The aim of Industry Connect is to share experience and best practices between peers, around a targeted digital theme, in order to meet companies' needs.
