Quantum Call 2025: call for projects
The BRIDGE Discovery program, jointly managed by Innosuisse and the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), has launched Quantum Call 2025, a thematic initiative dedicated to applied quantum technologies. This call is mainly aimed at Swiss researchers (universities, EPF, HES...), who can collaborate with academic or industrial partners.
Details & application - deadline❗️16 September 2025❗️
A call to transform quantum research into concrete applications
The Quantum Call aims to promote the transition from fundamental research to industrial innovation. It covers four main areas:
- Quantum communication (e.g. key distribution, quantum repeaters)
- Quantum computing (processors, algorithms, error correction)
- Quantum simulation (simulators, quantum materials)
- Quantum detection and metrology (sensors, standards)
Projects can be submitted solo or as part of a consortium (max. 5 researchers), with the possibility of including 1 foreign partner if skills are lacking in Switzerland. The budget allocated is up to CHF 850,000 per beneficiary over 4 years, with a ceiling of CHF 2.55 million for consortia of 3-5 partners.
This call represents an exceptional opportunity for SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland, particularly those in technical partnership with research teams. They can join a BRIDGE consortium, leverage their industrial skills and collaborate on quantum innovations - for example, in the construction of ultra-sensitive sensors, the development of quantum security solutions or dedicated simulators. This type of collaboration offers not only access to substantial funding, but also a position of technological leadership in a rapidly expanding quantum market.
