Switzerland's largest healthcare hackathon to be held at SUVA
From March 23 to 25, the Clinique romande de réadaptation/SUVA in Sion will be hosting its first hackathon. This is the 4th edition of theArkathon Hacking Health Valais, a weekend of immersive work organized by The Ark Foundation and its Swiss Digital Health initiative.
The aim of the event is to develop innovative solutions to make life easier for patients and healthcare professionals. Immersed for 45 hours, participants will work alongside healthcare professionals and patients to develop innovative solutions to their challenges. Over 80 participants are expected.
The challenges proposed by Arkathon partners CRR, GRIMM (Groupement d'intervention médicale en montagne), IRR (Institut de recherche en réadaptation-réinsertion) and the Swiss Olympic Medical Center are available on the Innoboard platform.
Developing a self-hypnosis aid to help patients cope better with pain, or wireless sensors to communicate biological data in real time during an emergency intervention in the mountains: these are just two examples of the challenges on offer this year.
Developers, designers and engineers can still register for this digital health event, the Swiss chapter of the international Hacking Health movement. The best solutions proposed could win up to CHF 25,000 at the end of the weekend.
