Switzerland announces global cybersecurity initiative
At the 12th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Geneva, Switzerland announced in particular that it would be launching a global initiative to clarify the role of governments, the private sector and individuals for a peaceful and secure Internet. EPFL creates a center for "digital trust" with private partners
EPFL announces the creation of a cybersecurity cluster, C4DT for Center for Digital Trust. Groupe Mutuel 's insurance company suffered an attack and data theft, whilean EMS announced that it had paid a ransom to recover its files. The Swiss subsidiary of EOS, a collection company used by doctors, also fell victim to hackers and lost confidential data.
