Powerhouse collaborates with AWS re/Start and EPFL Extension School to promote diversity in IT professions

by Alp ICT

Through the ada:flow initiative, the non-profit association Powerhouse Romandie becomes the first organization in Switzerland to offer the AWS re/Start program for training disadvantaged people in the cloud.

The association is also joining forces with the EPFL Extension School to offer other IT training courses - such as computer development - and develop diversity in Tech.

The Powerhouse is an ecosystem that helps people who have had a career break to develop their skills and thrive in an IT career. The association mainly supports women who want to pick up the thread of an interrupted career, and people from migrant backgrounds.

Through its ada:flow programs, the association offers flexible training, a network of professionals and support for integration into the job market.

The association is looking for partners and volunteers to help with the next programs in spring 2022.
