HR Tech makes its revolution at VivaTech 2022

After two years of pandemonium, VivaTech, Europe's biggest technology event, has moved to Paris for its sixth edition from June 15 to 18, 2022, with inspiring themes on the program: Tomorrow's work and mobility, innovations for the planet, emerging technologies, European digitalization with inclusion as the mindset.

It's time for me to report on my immersion in the world of tomorrow. Between the inspiring conferences, the "next generation" innovations, the meetings with startups, the immersive experiences and the round-table discussions on the future of work, I've got myself a shot of technology for the year to come.

Welcome to the world of the Metaverse and VR

Virtual reality is the big trend at VivaTech. Metaverses are making inroads into all sectors, and are making great inroads into HR, as with Meta, where you slip on a headset and off you go for a virtual meeting with nicely-designed avatars. We're losing touch with reality... But it's going to be hard to fight this emerging trend.

The HR Tech nation makes the buzz

HRTech is at the heart of VivaTech on the Manpower, Lab RH and Adecco pavilions with inspiring and disruptive solutions to improve the employee life cycle, or to revolutionize obsolete HR practices such as :

monday.com the web and mobile application that will revolutionize the way you manage your HR projects. The application streamlines your work by centralizing your processes, tools and files in a single Work OS.

NEOBRAIN the solution that uses AI for skills management. The technology makes it possible to anticipate emerging skills and identify gaps with available internal resources.

Formyfit, the virtual assistant that offers companies concerned about the well-being of their employees a fitness diagnosis and digital coaching for each employee, who receives a weekly fitness report to assess his or her progress.

Windoo the HR tool suite solution for measuring and improving team engagement. Through surveys, you can measure the pulse of your company and the impact of engagement on your employer brand.

What's new for talks?

VivaTech is also a place where you come across slogans like "Innovation lights up positive change" and "there's at least as much human as tech at VivaTech", but above all it's inspiring speakers including technology leaders, CEOs of global companies and startups.

What about GreenTech?

"If climate change is everyone's business, what are you waiting for to make it your business? The poster at the entrance to VivaTech sets the tone.

A number of companies are starting to become aware of the climate and environmental crisis. The idea of a circular economy is quite present, with startups advocating recyclable materials and innovations to combat global warming. But responsible tech still has a long way to go...

What about HRTech Switzerland?

This year, the Swiss Pavilion was decked out in bright green. A nod to Green Tech, no doubt! A very fine representation of Swiss innovation, with Foodtech taking center stage at the entrance to the show. As I toured the 20 startups present, I looked around the stands and was surprised to find that not a single Swiss HR Tech startup was represented. It's a shame... We have some very fine HR Tech nuggets in Switzerland, such as Beekeeper as a scale-up, or Talent.com, which has become a unicorn.
