IOT/WT Innovation World Cup 2018: Gemalto's Security Award winner is Swiss

A festival of innovation! Welcoming participants from all over the world, theIOT Innovation World Cup® 2018 came to a successful close. The most innovative IoT start-ups were chosen from 940 submissions, and the winners were honored at the prestigious Pitch & Award IOT/WT Innovation World Cup® 2018 ceremony at MWC Barcelona.

Innovating and impressing was definitely the top priority for these 32 finalists, and that's exactly what they did. The opportunity to showcase their groundbreaking IoT technology solutions on stage at the IOT Innovation World Cup® 2018 Pitch and Award ceremony. Six categories were up for grabs: City | Commerce | Home & Lifestyle | Healthcare | Industrial | Transportation, and their partners awarded two other special prizes: the LoRaWAN™ Challenge powered by LoRa Alliance™ and Gemalto's Security Award.

The winner of Gemalto's safety award comes from Switzerland: iotech swiss with COLIBRI, the first AI-based plug-and-play solution that makes flying safer. It can predict in advance persistent conditions in the operation of a flight that may eventually lead to accidents. Pilots are alerted before it's too late to act.
