#interview Logystem integrates a connected quality control system in production
With over 25 years' experience in industry, LOGYSTEM SA is a Swiss company that provides global solutions and added value when it comes to implementing effective quality control. We met its CEO, Christophe Crovara, who will be speaking at our next Industry Connect event on February 7.
Alp ICT: Can you describe LOGYSTEM's business in a few words?
Christophe Crovara: LOGYSTEM is a leading company in French-speaking Switzerland in the field of quality control for companies (incoming inspection for suppliers, in-process inspection and final inspection), and implements inspection and metrology software. Accredited to SCS 17025, our company also offers training, auditing and consulting services in these two fields. We can intervene on our customers' premises to assess whether their control strategy can be optimized, for example by proposing solutions to speed up measurement acquisition, or by offering dimensional metrology consultancy.
Alp ICT: What is your added value in this area of quality control?
Christophe Crovara: We offer a complete solution: control software, interfaces and measuring instruments, metrological consulting with our calibration service, as well as support and training. Our added value is deployed on several fronts, as we are present from the beginning to the end of the chain.
Alp ICT: Speaking of training, you offer courses in the use of your QuickControl Pro software. Can you tell us a little more about them?
Christophe Crovara: These joint courses are given several times a year for companies using our control software, especially for new operators who are not yet familiar with the product. Customized in-company courses are also available.
Alp ICT: Why did you agree to take part in our Industry Connect event? What are your expectations?
Christophe Crovara: We're delighted to be taking part, for several reasons: Industry Connect is taking place at one of our partners(Sylvac), we're also familiar with Creapole, and we have something concrete to show. There's a lot of talk about connected industry, but it's still pretty theoretical. At a time when we're still in the infancy of the 4th industrial revolution, an event like Industry Connect is very welcome. It enables us to show a concrete and practical vision of what we're in the process of implementing in companies.
Alp ICT: What are your next projects?
Christophe Crovara: LOGYSTEM is a strong local company operating in French-speaking Switzerland and expanding into German-speaking Switzerland. We are forging ahead in the connected industry with new projects and new customers, while bringing in other partners.
Our main focus is on bar turning and watchmaking (although we are also present in the automotive, mechanical engineering and micromechanics industries - ed. note), but we are also particularly interested in the medical sector, which we intend to develop over the next few years.
Finally, our company is currently working on a fairly innovative concept: correcting production machines in real time, thanks to on-board connected systems. Implementation with our customers is scheduled for next year.
