Innosuisse: Call for Digital Projects: Switzerland x United Kingdom
The Swiss Agency for the Promotion of Innovation (Innosuisse) and its British counterpart, Innovate UK, are launching a bilateral call for projects aimed at strengthening research and development cooperation between Switzerland and the United Kingdom. This call enables companies and research institutions in both countries to jointly develop innovative applications and products with strong commercial potential.

The call for proposals focuses exclusively on three strategic technology areas: semiconductors, life sciences, and synthetic biology (Engineering Biology)—three sectors considered essential to the technological sovereignty and competitiveness of both countries.
Projects must be led by a consortium comprising at least one Swiss company and one British company, as well as at least one research organization in either country (this requirement is waived for certain Swiss startups with fewer than 50 employees that are in the pre-commercial phase). Projects, which must last between 18 and 36 months, must demonstrate strong commercialization potential, genuine added value resulting from international cooperation, and complementary expertise among the partners.
Consortia can also receive support in finding partners through the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) platform. For SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland, this call represents a strategic opportunity to develop cutting-edge innovations in collaboration with one of Europe’s leading research and innovation ecosystems. Beyond funding, it provides access to new expertise, accelerates the market launch of high-value-added technologies, and facilitates entry into the UK and international markets.
