Financial support for your innovation in Geneva
With three distinct funding lines—Tech, Digital, and Impact—and different funding levels, the Fund offers support in the following areas, among others:
- The FIF "Grant" Tech program isprimarily aimed at scientific research projects conducted by a Geneva-based university or research institute that seek to launch a new product, process, or service that meets a social or economic need and has commercial potential. The prize is an initial funding package of CHF 50,000.
- FIF "Seed" & "Growth" Digital supports both start-ups in the digital technology sector offering innovative and difficult-to-replicate products or services, and scale-ups and SMEs in Geneva that are developing technological innovations and seeking to accelerate their commercial growth or digital transformation. Depending on the status of the project, funding can range from CHF 50,000 to CHF 400,000.
- Finally, FIF "Seed" Impact focuses on projects in the start-up phase that have a positive social, environmental, and/or economic impact.
The FIF is supported by the State of Geneva, the Geneva Foundation for Technological Innovation (FONGIT), the Modus Foundation, the United Nations International Trade Centre (ITC), and the United Nations Environment Programme.
