Advance digitization in Switzerland and submit your innovation project as soon as possible!

Switzerland must remain at the forefront of the development and application of digital technologies. To this end, the Federal Council is committing a total of CHF 62 million as part of the 2019-2020 action plan. Among the recommended measures, Innosuisse is implementing the "Manufacturing Technologies" impulse program and working on a call for projects with international partners.

 

Manufacturing technologies" impulse program : apply by May 20

The aim of this program is to encourage innovation projects run by Swiss companies at the intersection of research and technology transfer, in conjunction with research institutions, in the fields of Industry 4.0 and modern manufacturing technologies, with a focus on digital technologies. The additional funds available for 2019 and 2020 amount to CHF 24 million.

The first phase of the Impulse program is off to a good start. In the first call for proposals, out of 46 applications submitted, 27 innovation projects lasting 18 months (for a total of CHF 14 million) were approved. Thirty applications were submitted with the support of innovation mentors and/or the participation of national thematic networks (RTN). A total budget of CHF 10 million is still available for the second call, and applications for 12-month projects can be submitted until May 20, 2019. Further information here.

Eurostars-2: support for the international development of SMEs

In parallel with this national initiative, Innosuisse is preparing a joint call for projects with Sweden on the topic of digitization, as part of their long-standing bilateral collaboration. bilateral collaboration. This program also offers small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the opportunity to benefit directly from financial support to develop their products or services with partner companies or research teams at international level. The call for proposals is scheduled for September 2019.
