Trust Valley Day
Switzerland's annual cybersecurity and digital trust event
Trust Valley Day brings together the key players in digital trust and cybersecurity in the Lake Geneva region. Numerous local and international speakers will be taking part in a wide-ranging discussion on cybersecurity issues and ways of protecting critical infrastructures and local companies.
Organized in partnership with the cantons of Vaud and Geneva, EPFL, IHEID, HEIG-VD, HES-SO Genève, UNIGE, UNIL, ELCA, GCSP, Kudelski, SGS, SICPA and Wisekey, the event aims to strengthen cooperation between public, private and academic players, support innovation in cyberspace and foster the emergence of new talent in the field of cybersecurity.
Industry leaders, top academics, entrepreneurs, diplomats and representatives of the State of Geneva, the Canton of Vaud and the Swiss Confederation, will reflect on the main challenges of cybersecurity and trust in today's digital economy, focusing on the following points:
- The current cybersecurity landscape in Switzerland for companies and SMEs ;
- Confidence in digital technology;
- The industry's growing talent shortage, its ramifications and how to overcome them;
- A sustainable digital world: governance and Switzerland's role.
The afternoon will be dedicated to trust and innovation. It will kick off the Tech4Trust startup acceleration program and cover the following topics:
- Presentation of the startups selected for the 4th edition of Tech4Trust ;
- The role of companies, VCs and startups in innovation ;
- Key success factors for startups in the face of recession.
Alp ICT's General Secretary will have the pleasure of moderating the panel on the challenges of recruiting talent in the digital sector at 11:00 a.m. "Talents: solutions and commitments from Swiss companies to train and diversify technical professions: between a shortage of talent in IT professions and struggling recruiters, what solutions exist today and will exist tomorrow."
