Cybersecurity: secure the confidentiality of your corporate communications & data

Connecting communities, businesses and essential public services in a secure and sustainable way. This is the mission of Geneva-based RealTyme, who will be presenting the services they deploy to ensure the security of all your means of communication during this new #TechDemo.

This is a vital challenge, especially for SMEs, given the omnipresence of digitized means of communication in everyday life.

Whatever the hierarchical level, whatever the nature of the tasks, from the most complex to the most routine, the activity of an SME today is irremediably linked to communication, collaboration and sharing tools, from Outlook to Microsoft Teams, via Slack, Google or SwissTransfer. The multiplication of these tools also poses a major challenge, as it increases the attack surface and makes it difficult to coordinate maintenance.

RealTyme offers a unified end-to-end security service, from technical infrastructure to desktop applications.

A complete ecosystem of tools, inspired by the highest security standards.

The hosting proposal is the starting point of the RealTyme solution. It gives you the option of choosing between "on-premise" (self-hosted) or delocalized data storage management on the Swiss cloud. This will enable you to lay the foundations for a technical infrastructure tailored to your needs and objectives in terms of security, confidentiality and internal compliance, while also taking into account your needs in terms of operational efficiency and reducing your ecological footprint.

This is the first step towards total control of your communication and collaboration environment and applications. Manage user accounts, configure security settings and access detailed, confidential usage reports, all from a centralized, easy-to-use interface.

Then there are the applications that will enable your employees to work, especially remotely, in a secure, transparent and totally encrypted way. Online and instant messaging, SMS, video-conferencing, file storage and sharing... the RealTyme application suite includes all the essential tools your employees use every day, but under a single "Swiss made" flag.

RealTyme provides a secure ecosystem of communication and collaboration tools, but its expertise and track record in the service of certain critical bodies and organizations enables it to go even further. Initially developed for the Swiss army and a number of other governmental organizations, the RealTyme solution also offers a range of customized functionalities not yet widely available on the market, responding to more sophisticated standards or uses, such as RASP protocolsprotocols, biometric authentication or even UEM solutions.

More than 50% of employees use WhatsApp for work purposes

"So actually imagine with existing solutions, the possibilities you have in deepfake, the possibilities you have to be able to take someone's voice and completely change the message and send it through WhatsApp or Facebook (...)."

Our guest Quentin Randaxhe, in his #TechTalk interview, had already highlighted the extent to which technological advances and digital transformation were posing cybersecurity challenges for Swiss SMEs. Following on from this exchange, which you can find on our youtube channel, RealTyme's #TechDemo offers a concrete solution among those available on the French-speaking Swiss market to support digital sovereignty at SME level.

Against a backdrop heavily impacted by cyberattacks, Switzerland and several of its companies will have fallen victim to events in 2024 that illustrate the country's increased vulnerability to these threats.

Some notable cases include..:

  1. Swiss Post and Swisscom, two major public companies, have been targeted by attacks, including phishing attempts aimed at their infrastructures and employees. These attacks were aimed at accessing sensitive information via remote collaboration systems, such as Google Drive and Microsoft Teams.
  2. The manufacturing sector, although less affected than the previous year, nevertheless recorded an average of 752 attacks per week per company. This sector remains a prime target due to its complex supply chains.
  3. Financial institutions saw a sharp rise in cyberattacks, up 120% on the previous year. This mainly involved ransomware attacks and intrusions via VPN systems, affecting data security and disrupting financial services.

  • Where do I start to protect my SME from cybersecurity risks?
  • Faced with GAFAM and other foreign providers of digital solutions, is there a Swiss alternative?
