On August 25, 2026, AI Swiss will kick off its fall season at the Microcity space in Neuchâtel with an evening event dedicated to recent developments in artificial intelligence and their practical implications. Through the perspectives of various experts and in direct response to questions from the audience, the event will seek to take a step back and examine the current acceleration of AI, particularly by comparing its promises with reality.

Different Perspectives on What AI Is Really Changing

What real progress has been made in recent months? Which applications are already creating value? What misconceptions persist, and what impact is AI having on jobs, skills, and the organization of work?

The event will address these questions by bringing together three perspectives: Sabine Jacot, a senior AI trainer and lecturer at the University of Neuchâtel, will offer a human, sociological, and educational perspective on the learning, adoption, and development of skills; Charles-Edouard Bardyn, Chief AI Officer at domo.health and Head of Data Science & AI for NeuroTech at CHUV, will discuss the actual capabilities of current technologies and their limitations; while Nicolas Souvlakis, Managing Partner for Europe at Embiggen X, will share his experience with industrial transformation and the conditions necessary to move AI from experimentation to operational use.

Part of the program will be structured directly around the questions submitted in advance by the participants, followed by a cocktail reception designed to continue the discussions.

For SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland, this AI Swiss Kickoff event thus offers an opportunity to look beyond the flood of tech announcements and examine how AI developments relate to their operational realities.
