The Mapping Festival is organized by PPING, a Geneva-based non-profit cultural association with some 30 members in 2024, including many artists active in their chosen field. Its aim is to promote the audiovisual, technological and trans-disciplinary arts on the art scene in French-speaking Switzerland, and to raise its profile internationally.
The 20th edition of the Mapping Festival, with a program that's as cutting-edge as it is accessible, offers a particularly rich line-up over 10 days, with a succession of performances by local and international artists. Initiates and amateurs alike will be invited to discover, experiment and experience works that offer new modes of reception based on digital forms of artistic creation. With technological art, the public becomes an actor, a player and an instigator.
Program
Among the experiences on offer, the public will be able to attend lectures, workshops and technological and immersive performances relating, for example, to the sonification of data in the arts and sciences, or to other technologies such as machine learning, AI or virtual reality within the artistic creation process.
