On May 5, 2026, EPFL Lausanne will host the networking event “Building Reliable & Sovereign AI,” organized by AI Swiss. This event is part of a series of gatherings dedicated to helping small and medium-sized enterprises in French-speaking Switzerland effectively adopt artificial intelligence.
Stay in control by building trustworthy AI: issues of sovereignty, transparency, and practical application
As artificial intelligence emerges as a key technology for businesses and institutions, this workshop offers an in-depth exploration of how to design, deploy, and use reliable, explainable, and well-managed AI systems. The goal is to look beyond technological promises and address very concrete challenges: data governance, model transparency, human-machine collaboration, and technological sovereignty.
During the workshop, with guidance from the AI Swiss expert community, you’ll have the opportunity to apply connected tools such as Cursor or Claude Code directly to your local files. You’ll see the practical difference between supervised, guided use—which allows you to track and verify the tasks performed—and standard, unsupervised use, which raises questions about both effectiveness and transparency.
This workshop, which is based on the BASE framework (Building Assistants with a Structure of Expertise), developed by AI Swiss with support from Innovaud, will enable each participant to leave with:
