The construction industry in the digital age

BIM DAY GVA will highlight how BIM, artificial intelligence, generative modeling, and digital technologies are transforming construction practices, from planning to operation.

In a single day, visitors will be able to discover field-tested methods, attend presentations by renowned experts, and interact with cutting-edge technology providers.

Among the topics that will be explored in depth during the various conferences are:

  • BIM & responsible design presented by Dasaraden Mauree, Head of the Decarbonization and Climate Resilience Group at WSP and lecturer at EPFL, focusing on the use of BIM to optimize energy efficiency and reduce the carbon impact of buildings.
  • The Uberization of Construction: How Open Data, Vector Databases, and Machine Learning Will Transform the Industry with Artem Boiko, Founder & Director of DataDrivenConstruction
  • Architecture in the age of artificial intelligence, or how AI can support the design of smarter, more efficient, and more innovative spaces, with Neil Leach, Architect & Co-founder of DigitalFUTURES
  • The digital twin: a modern engineering solution for modeling, simulating, and anticipating challenges related to urban infrastructure planning with Georgios Sarantakos, Head of Strategic Projects in Energy and Sustainability at EPFL

Alongside these conferences, practical workshops and demonstrations of BIM and PropTech tools will enable participants to move from theory to immediately applicable solutions, while promoting direct exchanges with developers and integrators of digital technologies.
