Digital Journey 2026
The CSEM (Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology) is launching a new edition of the Digital Journey Award, a program designed to support Swiss SMEs in their digital transformation projects. This initiative is open to SMEs with fewer than 250 employees that were established before June 1, 2021, already have a product or service on the market, and wish to accelerate their digital transformation using technologies developed by CSEM.
Details & Application – Deadline❗️September 14, 2026❗️
Up to CHF 100,000 to accelerate the digital transformation of Swiss SMEs
The Digital Journey Award does not recognize an existing technology, but rather a digital transformation idea that addresses a specific business need. Proposed projects must fall within one of CSEM’s eight strategic technology areas, which include artificial intelligence and data science, Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things (IoT) and computer vision, digital health, energy technologies, ASICs, smart batteries, and quantum and photonic technologies.
The winner will receive support worth up to CHF 100,000, not in the form of a financial grant, but in the form of technological development and skills transfer services provided by CSEM’s teams. After an initial review of the applications’ eligibility and their alignment with the research center’s areas of expertise, a jury will select the five best projects before naming the winner.
For SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland, this initiative represents a rare opportunity to tap into the expertise of one of Europe’s leading centers for applied innovation, without incurring the costs typically associated with this type of support. Whether it involves integrating AI into an industrial process, developing a connected product, automating a production line, or leveraging data to create new services, the Digital Journey Award serves as a powerful catalyst for competitiveness.
