Cybersecurity: Groupe T2i offers a white paper for SMEs
IT security in business is, above all, a human affair. Last year in Switzerland, more than 21,000 cyber attacks were reported, more than double the number for the previous year, according to the National Center for Cybersecurity. In 90% of these cases, security breaches were caused by human error. To reduce this risk, Groupe T2i, based at the Swiss Digital Center in Sierre, is making a white paper available to SMEs. This is the first step in raising awareness of cyber risks.
" As threats evolve over time, there's nothing better than fake attack campaigns to test your staff's sensitivity to the risks of cyber threats," says Groupe T2i. The Valais-based company offers its Usecure service, which enables human risk to be analyzed, reduced and monitored in order to significantly improve IT security.
IT security: a question of infrastructure
After raising employee awareness, companies must also ensure that installations and programs are up to date. " It's not uncommon to find workstations and network equipment with old versions of software, all of which are security holes for potential hackers to exploit", reminds Groupe T2i.
To remedy this, you need to pay close attention to updates, and surround yourself with professionals. "This is what we call managed services. These offerings may seem like an expense for your company, but on closer inspection, they can actually save you money on your IT infrastructures", concludes Groupe T2i.
