Global Startup Challenge 2017 Announcement: FinTech Series

The Global Startup Challenge is an initiative to encourage innovation and startups worldwide via the EDGE 196 platform (also known as "Entrepreneurship Development for Global Ecosystem"). The Startup Challenge involves 26 global clusters (196 countries) whose aim is to identify startups with the potential to become the world's next unicorn. The three shortlisted startups are invited to an online conference pitch session, and the 26 winners then receive term sheets and an Acceleration program managed by one of EDGE196's global partners in India, the UK, Canada, Singapore and the USA.

Stimulating startups and innovation

Total investment commitment: 2.30 million USD
One winning startup from each cluster (26 clusters) will receive an investment of USD 50,000. And of the 26 winning startups, one will be selected for the grand investment of 1 million USD.

To apply, you need to answer a few questions that include information on incorporation date, brief description, stage, team size, annual revenue, amount of investment you're looking for and upload your pitch via video.

Once your startup has been selected, you will be contacted by the EDGE196 team of analysts.

Startups can apply online until November 14, 2017

Startup evaluation: November 1-15, 2017 (pre-selection)

Online pitch session: November 24, 2017 (videoconference)

Grand finale: December 2018
