Mission
Launched in 2008, Alp ICT is a platform for the promotion of information and digital technologies, supported by the cantons of Western Switzerland and SECO under the New Regional Policy (NPR). It is part of an intercantonal innovation support network coordinated byARI-SO (Association Réseau Innovation Suisse occidentale). Alp ICT is supported by the program's partners and an intercantonal committee of experts.
As a liaison between companies, R&D, institutional and financial players, Alp ICT fosters synergies in the digital field, with the aim of creating economic value, boosting SMEs' capacity for innovation and reinforcing their digital transition.
Digital revolution and ecological transition being the two great transformative forces of the 21st century, Alp ICT is working for a sustainable and responsible digital ecosystem.
Objectives
- Raising awareness / Technology watch: raising awareness of the opportunities and challenges of digital technology in the short, medium and long term
- Promotion: Map and promote digital players in Western Switzerland to enhance regional expertise
- Networking: bring together private and public players in the field of digital technologies to create synergies and stimulate innovation and collaboration.
- Collective intelligence: Supporting the development and exchange of best practices
- Economic development: Helping SMEs to meet the challenges of digitalization and grow through digital technologies

Western Switzerland's regional innovation system: a rich, organized ecosystem
The Regional Innovation System of Western Switzerland (RIS-SO), of which Alp ICT is a member, is managed by ARI-SO (Association Réseau Innovation Suisse occidentale). This program implements a public policy of support for companies, providing local support in the areas of sector promotion, coaching services, links with universities and access to various technology transfer tools.
ARI-SO ensures coordination with cantonal, inter-cantonal and federal bodies, and benefits from privileged relationships with national instruments such as Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE), Innosuisse, BaselArea, GGBa, SIP, Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), Euresearch, Swissnex and others.
