Tech4Eva Roadshow Seoul
To mark Swiss-Korean Innovation Week, with its theme of "diversity", Tech4Eva is joining forces with the Office of Science and Technology and the Swiss Embassy in the Republic of Korea to invite you to take part in this hybrid event.
FemTech is a term applied to a wide range of technologies dedicated to women's health and well-being, e.g. fertility/pregnancy, women's oncology, menstrual health/menopause.
There are still health disparities caused by the "gender data gap" (lack of data on women or male bias), taboos surrounding the open discussion of women's health issues and the misinterpretation of the term FemTech as "women in tech". That's why it's particularly important to highlight this fast-growing sector (market value estimated at 50 billion USD by 2025) and its social importance.
Tech4Eva's 2022 program kicked off in April and will run for 9 months. Among the selected start-ups, all of which will benefit from expert mentoring and specialized workshops, those with an interest in and potential for the Korean market will have the opportunity to present themselves at the public presentation event. In the weeks following the public event, follow-up meetings will be organized with Korean experts and investors.
This public event aims to raise awareness of topics directly related to women's well-being, with reference to the cultural context. In a dialogue, experts from Korea and Switzerland will address topics such as prevention, treatment and technology development, paying particular attention to psychological and regulatory aspects in both countries. In addition, examples of the latest technologies developed for women's well-being will be presented by Tech4Eva Roadshow participants.
